Born and raised among the rivers and lakes of his beloved Michigan, Fischer has had a camera, book, or pen in his hand as long as he can remember–and he has the half-written novel and scrapbook of blurry bird photos from when he was 8 to prove it.
Not much as changed over the years. The cameras have gotten more expensive and his vocabulary has grown a bit bigger, but every time he embarks on a new project he’s still that little kid trying to trap a living thing in words or images and show it to someone else.
To him, the process is as important as the product, and he values building new relationships and having an uber good time on a shoot. But don’t worry, he’ll also agonize over little decisions and spend wayyy too much time on an edit to get things just right.
